FAQ

Is Image.frl really 100% free image hosting?
Yes, our image hosting service is 100% free to use.

Can I use it for image storage?
If you need to store large amounts of images, cloud services like Amazon, Google and such are better options.

Where are my images hosted?
In our home country, The Netherlands.

Your domain ends with .frl, what is this .frl?
The .frl domain is a Dutch extension and 100% Dutch owned. Frl stands for Fryslan, which is a province in the northern part of our beautful country.

Can I really host anything?
We are Dutch and we live by Dutch rules (and the EU where applicable). For most countries we have a level of freedom-of-speech that’s not seen in many countries. Not everyone has to agree with you. But there is a line between opinion and violating the law (like clear intention of racism, hate speech, etc).

We support people saying whatever they want but protect those same people from exposing forbidden content with a clear intention of harming other people. We won’t accept such intention of image hosting.

Do images expire or have a maximum length of expiration?
Nope, you don’t have to worry about that. Images are served as long as you like. There is no expiration on hosting your images. Just make sure you keep the delete link for your image(s) which is displayed after uploading the image. If you suddenly feel the need to remove a certain image, just use the removal link and your image is instantly removed.
